Abstract:

In modern times, the speed and diversity of things in production and consumption have influenced the human life as well, and one of the ways of understanding of modern humanity has been the relationship between things and things. In this sense, it has been studied by disciplines such as subject, sociology, psychology, indication, literature, and the subject has been drawn up with different contexts such as personality, identity, gender, class, etc. Identifying, classifying, and determining its place in the society and individual world has been one of the main objectives of these research. Literary research also recently began to question the relationship between object and literature, and the approaches to the function of the object in fictional stories gained importance with modern art and literary flows. The common point of literary research is the function of the thing in the narrative. The purpose of this article is also to determine the functional use of the object in the contemporary story in the article which focuses on the object-identity relationship, making conclusions about the use of the object in the contemporary story.
