Abstract:

Abstract:

Existence, one of the most effective and most important philosophical currents of modern life, runs the existence of the individual within the framework of concrete suggestions. The stream gains popularity in many countries, including mainly France, and this popularity reflects the text of the curriculum as well. It is important that the texts look at social changes and developments in a parallel level to be able to monitor the reflections of life that is experienced. In this context, as existentialism begins to be recognized in Turkey, it is possible to see the influence of existentialist philosophy in literary texts as well. The influence of existence is also shown in the works of our independent writer Erhan Bener, which does not include any flow. In this study, the main character of the novel that Bener has written in accordance with the aforementioned understanding, Reha's ontological queries, searches, loneliness, depression will be conducted, as well as an investigation will be carried out in accordance with the discoveries of the "other" concept of existence by J. P. Sartre and the relationship that Reha has established with the individuals around it.

Abstract:

Existentialism, one of the most important and influential philosophical movements in modern life, examines the individual existence within the context of concrete propositions. The movement gains a popularity in several countries, particularly in France. This popularity influences fictional writing as well. It is crucial that texts evolve parallel to social changes and developments in terms of experiencing life's reflections. It is possible to see the influence of existential philosophy in literary texts when existentialism has begun to be recognized in Turkey. Existentialism's presence can be seen in the works of Turkish author Erhan Bener, who is a fecund and independent writer, unaffected by any movement. In this study, the ontological inquiries, pursuits, loneliness, and depression of Reha, the main character in Bener's "Baharla Gelen," will be analyzed in light of the approach referred. In addition, the relationship Reha has with the people around him will be examined in the light of the leading name of existentialism J.P. Sartre's observations on the concept of the “other”.
