BOYOZ’UN ÇEVRİMİÇİ TURİST DENEYİMLERİ AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Izmir as the third most populous city in Turkey, is one of the important cities in terms of culture, art, trade and tourism. Considering the articles attributed to İzmir from history to the present, it is thought that the city has always been a center of attraction that arouses great admiration. The city where tourism activity is seen for twelve months by providing opportunities for different types of tourism, has started to get a share from gastronomy tourism with the gastronomy-oriented events organized in recent years. It is believed that with the migrations that İzmir has taken throughout history, diversity has emerged in the culinary culture and this diversity has created a touristic attraction. In the food culture, which attracts attention with its olive oil dishes, appetizers, salads, fish culture and offal culture, there are also city-specific eating and drinking elements such as İzmir Bomba and İzmir Boyoz. The aim of this research is to examine the tourist experiences written online on the internet regarding Izmir Boyoz, which is known in Izmir cuisine culture and is also considered as a touristic product. Content analysis method was used in the context of the study. From the businesses serving in Izmir listed on the TripAdvisor website, it was observed that there were a total of 32 businesses offering Boyoz, and the online tourist comments of these food and beverage businesses were examined. As a result of the examination, 6 businesses with the most tourist comments were chosen. Among the comments of the selected restaurants, those about the Izmir Boyoz have been evaluated. The data obtained after the evaluations were illustrated using the word cloud technique. Two-word clouds, positive and negative, were created regarding the study. As a result of the findings of the study, it was found the positive comments about Boyoz were more than the negative comments. The words that came to the fore in the word cloud of positive comments were 'delicious, pleasant, satisfying'. Whereas it was seen that the prominent words in the word cloud of negative comments were "cold, tasteless and expensive".

The words that came to the fore in the word cloud of positive comments were 'delicious, pleasant, satisfying'. Whereas it was seen that the prominent words in the word cloud of negative comments were "cold, tasteless and expensive".
