Bu çalışmada, karbonmonoksite (CO) meslekleri nedeni ile maruz kalan trafik polisleri, taksi şoförleri ve benzin dağıtıcılarının kan karboksihemoglobin (COHb) düzeylerinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Kan örneklerinde COHb saturasyon yüzdelerinin tayini için spektrofotometrik yöntem kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analiz sonuçlarına göre; trafik polislerinde sigara içme alışkanlığı olanlarda (n = ll) ortalama %8.5±0.90 COHb, sigara içmeyenlerde (n= 10) ortalama %5.32±0.26 COHb; taksi şoförlerinde sigara içenlerde (n=13) ortalama %6.75 + 0.68 COHb, sigara içmeyenlerde (n = 7) ortalama %4.47 + 0.44 COHb; benzin dağıtıcılarında sigara içenlerde (n= 11) ortalama %7.12 + 0.58 COHb, sigara içmeyenlerde (n = 9) ortalama %5.51 ±0.30 COHb; kontrol grubunda ise sigara içenlerde (n = 30) ortalama %3.43+0.16 COHb, sigara içmeyenlerde (n = 20) ortalama %0.88±0.05 COHb bulunmuştur.
This study aims to investigate the levels of carboxymoglobin (COHb) in the blood of traffic police, taxi drivers and gas distributors exposed to the cause of carbon monoxide (CO) professions. In blood samples, the spectrophotometric method has been used to determine the COHb saturation percentages. According to the results of the analysis; average 8.5 ± 0.90 COHb in people who have a smoking habit in traffic police (n = ll), average 5.32 ± 0.26 COHb in people who do not smoke (n = 10); average 6.75 + 0.68 COHb in people who do not smoke (n = 7); average 4.47 + 0.44 COHb in people who do not smoke (n = 11); average 7.12 + 0.58 COHb in people who do not smoke (n = 9); average 5.51 ± 0.30 COHb in people who do not smoke (n = 30) and average 3.43% in people who do not smoke (n = 30). 16 COHb was an average of 0.88 %±0.05 COHb in non-smoking (n = 20). Statistical assessments have found that in persons exposed to exotic pollution due to their professions, smoking and non-drinking groups have a significant difference between the blood COHb values (p < 0.05). The blood COHb values in the control group were found to be significant differences between them when compared separately with other groups (p< 0.001).
