Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the levels of implementation of the management functions of small and medium-sized hotel enterprises and to identify the relationship of these levels with the demographic characteristics of the organization, as well as to identify a reliable and valid scale that can be used to measure the level of implementation of the management functions. To this goal, 389 managers in the KOBI operating in the Çukurova Region, the survey forms designed to measure their management functions, compatible with literature and prepared using the existing work, were applied with the face-to-face interview method. Adjusted statistical programs have been used to evaluate the data obtained. The research has found that the scale is valid and reliable in measuring the implementation of management functions in a four-dimensional structure, including planning, organizing, carrying out and monitoring. The average of women’s execution and control activities in the implementation point is high; the average of women’s planning and organizing activities in the implementation point is low. Also, the implementation average of management functions showed significant differences according to the company’s ownership, the number of stars and the number of employees.
