Abstract:

The self-adhesive adhesive simens, preferred in the adhesive of indirect restorations, are in contact with the tooth and mouth tissues for a long time. Therefore, the biological responsibilities of these materials become increasingly important for patients and doctors. The aim of this study is to evaluate the mutogenic potential of two self-additive adhesive icons "Biscem" Bisco, USA and "Maxcem" Kerr, Switzerland with the Ames Salmonella/microsom test system. The extracts of the test materials used are prepared by waiting at 37C0 for 1 day in dimethyl sulfoxide. The mutagenic effects of the materials were tested without the use of the TA98 and TA100 test juices and the application of the plaque incorporation method resulted in the use of S9. No mutogenic effects have been observed for both self-adhesive adhesive simans P >0.05 . Within the limits of this study, self-adhesive adhesive simans have not shown mutogenic effects on Biscem and Maxcem. However; there is a need for more research done in the presence of different test shells, different solvents and different extraction times, as well as S9.
