Kültürel Göstergeler Projesi kapsamında George Gerbner tarafından geliştirilen “yetiştirme kuramı”nı anlayabilmek açısından 2020’de Literatürk Academia Yayınları’ndan çıkan Prof. Dr. Ömer Özer’in Kamular Türkü Söyleyin adlı kitabı zamanlı bir çıkış yaptı. Özer, kitabında her şeyden önce Gerbner’ın yetiştirme kuramına temel olan felsefi zeminin ardında yer alan düşünceleri bizlere aktarmıştır. Kamular Türkü Söyleyin, iletişim kuramları alanında yetiştirme kuramının gerçekten anlaşılması bakımından var olan boşluğu doldurmuştur. Özer, daha önce bu konuda doktora tezini de yayımlatmıştır . Ancak son kitabın en özgün noktası, dijitalleşme ile ortaya çıkan sosyal medyalardan Twitter ile televizyon haberlerini bir arada ele alarak şiddet boyutunda yetiştirme çözümlemesi yapmış olmasıdır. Bu nedenle, Kamular Türkü Söyleyin, farklı, yeni ve özgün bir çalışma olmuştur.
In order to understand the "education theory" developed by George Gerbner within the framework of the Cultural Indications Project, the book of Prof. Dr. Ömer Özer from Literatürk Academia Publishing in 2020, Kamular Türkü Söyleyin, made a timely release. Özer, in his book, first and foremost translated to us the thoughts behind the philosophical ground, which is based on Gerbner’s theory of education. Kamular Turkü Say, the communication theories have filled the gap that exists in terms of truly understanding the theory of education in the field of communication theories. He has previously published his doctor’s thesis on this matter. But the most original point of the last book is that it has done the solution of education in the scale of violence from the social media emerging with digitalization, discussing Twitter and television news together. Therefore, Kamular Turkü Say, it has been a different, new and original work.
