So many results that aren't mine?
References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.

Abstract:

Effects of Low or Upper Extreme Resistance Exercises on Lung Functions and Quality of Life
2019

Abstract:

Our study aimed at studying the effects of low/mediate intensity lower or upper end resistance exercises on lung functions and quality of life in people with chronic respiratory problems. From 35 to 80 years old, 20 chronic lung patients and 15 healthy individuals were volunteers to work. These 2 groups were formed in a total of 4 groups by randomizing dividing into 2 subgroups to perform lower and upper extremity resistance exercises within themselves. The exercise program was planned 2-3 times a day, 3 days a week in the form of a home program and was practically shown to the participants. The total duration of the training is scheduled for 2 more than 4 months. Respiratory functions of participants (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC, PEF, MEF75, MEF50, MEF25) with spirometric measurements and quality of life in St. The George Respiratory Survey (SGRQ) was evaluated before and after 2-4 months of training. The statistical significance level was considered p<0,05 and the groups were compared to each other and within themselves. There was no significant difference in comparing the parameters of the respiratory function test (SFT) before and after the exercise program of the participants (p>0,05). After the exercise program, the patient group’s quality of life survey scores decreased significantly (p<0,001). As a result, patients with chronic lungs problems with light/mediate intensity, lower or upper extremity resistance exercises may also improve the quality of life if regularly performed in the home environment. It was thought that closer monitoring and planning could be useful in ensuring the intensity of exercise and continuity of exercise for the SFT parameters to reflect this improvement in a concrete way.

The Effect Of Mild/moderate Lower or Upper Extremity Resistance Exercises On Pulmonary Functions and Quality Of Life

Abstract:

In our study, we aimed to investigate the effects of lower or upper extremity resistance exercises on lung function and quality of life in people with chronic respiratory problems. Twenty chronic lung patients and 15 healthy subjects aged 35-80 were volunteered. In total 4 groups were formed by dividing these two groups randomly into 2 subgroups within themselves to perform lower and upper extremity resistance exercises. The home exercise program was 2-3 times a day, 3 days a week, and how to perform exercises were demonstrated to the participants. The training duration was planned for 2 to 4 months. Before and after the training program respiratory functions (FEV1, FVC, FEV1/ FVC, PEF, MEF75, MEF50, MEF25) of the participants were evaluated by spirometric measurements and the quality of life was determined by St George’s Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ). The statistical significance level was accepted as p <0,05. When the respiratory function test parameters of the participants were compared before and after the exercise program, no significant difference was found (p> 0,05). After the exercise program, the quality of life questionnaire scores of the patient group decreased significantly (p <0,001). As a result, it was seen that mild/moderate lower or upper extremity resistance exercises in patients with chronic lung problems could improve the quality of life if performed regularly in the home environment. Additionally, it was thought that in order to transform this quality improvement into the spirometric measurements, better planning of the intensity and closer monitoring of continuity of exercise could be useful.
