Giriş: Öğrenci hemşireler klinik uygulamaları sırasında yaşam sonu ve ölüm sonrası bakım gereksinimi olan hasta ve aile üyeleri ile karşı karşıya kalmakta ve bu süreci yönetmede çoğunlukla kendilerini hazır hissetmemektedir. Ancak, Türkiye’de yaşam sonu ve ölüm sonrası öz-yeterlilik düzeyini değerlendiren bir ölçek bulunmamaktadır. Amaç: Bu araştırma Yaşam Sonu ve Ölüm Sonrası Öz-Yeterlilik Ölçeği’nin Türkçe geçerlik ve güvenirliğini gerçekleştirmek amacıyla yapıldı. Yöntem: Bu araştırma 207 öğrenci hemşireyle metodolojik tipte yapıldı. Veriler, kişisel bilgi formu ve Yaşam Sonu ve Ölüm Sonrası Öz-Yeterlilik Ölçeği ile toplandı. Bu ölçek için geçerliğin belirlenmesinde sırasıyla, dil eşdeğerliği, kapsam geçerliği ve yapı geçerliği uygulandı. Güvenirlik analizleri kapsamında Cronbach alfa güvenirlik katsayısı hesaplandı. Tutarlığı değerlendirmede ise split-half güvenirlik analizlerinden yararlanıldı. Bulgular: Bu ölçeğin, kapsam geçerlik indeksi puanı 1,0 olarak belirlendi. Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin değeri 0,89 ve Barlett Küresellik Testleri değeri ise 1775,54 (p < 0,001) olarak belirlenen ölçeğin veri setinin faktör analizine uygun olduğu bulundu. Ölçeğin Cronbach alfa güvenirlik katsayısı 0,90 olarak bulundu. Spearman-Brown Korelasyon katsayısı 0,95 ve Guttman Eş Değer Yarılar Katsayısı 0,95 olarak hesaplandı ve ölçeğin güvenirliğinin kabul edilebilir düzeyde olduğu sonucuna ulaşıldı. Sonuç: Ölçeğin orijinal ölçekle paralel olarak tek boyutta olduğu belirlendi. Ölçeğin Türkçe formu hemşirelik öğrencilerinin yaşam sonu ve ölüm sonrası öz-yeterliliği değerlendirmede geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçüm aracı olduğu sonucuna ulaşıldı.
Introduction: During their clinical practice, student nurses encounter patients and family members who need end of-life and post-mortem care, and they often do not feel ready to manage this process. However, there is no scale in Turkey that evaluates end-of-life and post-mortem self-efficacy levels. Aim: This research was carried out to realize the Turkish validity and reliability of the End-of-Life and Postmortem Self-Efficacy Scale. Method: This research was conducted in methodological type with 207 student nurses. Data were collected with the personal information form and the End-of-Life and Postmortem Self-Efficacy Scale. In determining the validity for this scale, language equivalence, content validity, and construct validity were applied respectively. Cronbach's alpha reliability coefficient was calculated within the scope of reliability analysis. Split-half reliability analyzes were used to evaluate the consistency. Results: This scale's content validity index score was determined as 1.0. The data set of the scale, whose Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin value was determined as 0.89 and Barlett Sphericity Tests value as 1775.54 (p < 0.001), was found to be suitable for factor analysis. The Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient of the scale was found to be 0.90. The Spearman-Brown Correlation coefficient was calculated as 0.95 and the Guttman Equivalent Half Coefficient of 0.95, and it was concluded that the scale’s reliability was acceptable. Conclusion: It was determined that the scale had a single dimension in parallel with the original scale. The Turkish form of the scale is a valid and reliable measurement tool in the assessment of nursing students' end of-life and postmortem self-efficacy.
