Günümüzün hızla değişen rekabet koşullarında diğer sektörlerde olduğu gibi lojistik sektörünün faaliyetleri de ekonomik ve rekabet koşullarına ayak uydurabilmek için değişkenlik göstermeye başlamıştır. Lojistik yönetimini ürün ve hizmetlerin üretim noktasından son tüketiciye kadar geçirdiği tüm işlem süreci olarak ifade edebiliriz. Lojistik faaliyetler kapsamında yer alan depolama, taşıma, stoklama, ambalajlama süreçleri gerçekleştirilirken doğal çevreyi de etkileyen durumlar ortaya çıkmaktadır. Doğal kaynakların tüketiminden kaçınılarak çevrenin, doğal dengenin korunması biçiminde en basit anlamıyla ifade edebileceğimiz sürdürülebilirlik konusu bu noktada büyük önem taşımaktadır. Sürdürülebilirliğin amacı insan yaşamının devamlılığının sağlanmasıdır. Günümüzde sürdürülebilirlik kavramı birçok sektörde gerçekleştirilen faaliyetlerde benimsenen bir ilke olmaktadır. Lojistik faaliyetler de diğer pek çok faaliyet alanında olduğu gibi sürdürülebilir olmalıdır. Lojistik hizmet sunan firmalar gerek maliyetleri azaltmak gerekse çevreye verilen zararın etkisini minimuma indirmek amacıyla faaliyetlerini düzenlerlerse sürdürülebilirliğe de katkı sağlamış olacaklardır. Sürdürülebilirlik kapsamında yeşile dönüş faaliyetleri çevre, sosyal ve ekonomik alanda katkılar sunmaktadır. Yeşil lojistik kapsamında yeşil satın alma, yeşil ambalajlama, yeşil dağıtım, yeşil tersine lojistik, yeşil üretim gerçekleştirilen faaliyetler alanlarındandır. Bu çalışmada sürdürülebilir lojistik kapsamında yeşil lojistik uygulamaları üzerinde durulacaktır. Bu doğrultuda konuya ilişkin literatür taraması yapılarak işletmelerin uygulamalarını nasıl yeşile çevirebilecekleri hakkında bilgiler sunulacaktır.
In today's rapidly changing competitive conditions, the activities of the logistics sector, as in other sectors, have begun to change in order to adapt to economic and competitive conditions. We can define logistics management as the entire transaction process of products and services from the point of production to the end consumer. While the storage, transportation, stocking and packaging processes, which are among the logistics activities, are carried out, situations that affect the natural environment occur. The issue of sustainability, which can be expressed as the protection of the environment by not consuming natural resources, is of great importance. The aim of sustainability is to ensure the continuity of human life. Today, the concept of sustainability is a principle adopted in activities in many sectors. Logistics activities should be sustainable like other fields of activity. Logistics companies contribute to sustainability if they regulate their activities in order to both reduce costs and reduce the impact of damage to the environment. Within the scope of sustainability, greening activities contribute to the environment, social and economic fields. Within the scope of green logistics, green purchasing, green packaging, green distribution, green reverse logistics and green production are among the fields of activity. In this study, green logistics practices will be emphasized within the scope of sustainable logistics. A literature review was conducted on the subject. Information will be presented on how businesses can turn their practices green.
