Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Türk yöneticilerin stratejik düşünme özelliklerini belirlemeye yönelik bir ölçek geliştirmeye dayanak (temel) oluşturacak ifade seti (Item Set) önerisi sunmaktır. Karma (Nitel/Nicel) araştırma yönteminin kullanıldığı araştırma, kuramsal anlamda ifade setinin oluşturulması ve uygulama aşaması olmak üzere iki aşamalı bir süreçte gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın kuramsal ifade seti oluşturulması aşaması için, stratejik yönetim alanında çalışmaları ve yetkinliği olan 11 kişiden (uzman-akademisyen) uzman değerlendirme formu aracılığıyla veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın uygulama aşamasında ise Düzce ilinde faaliyetlerini sürdüren 20 işletmenin strateji konusuyla ilgilenen 20 üst düzey yöneticisinden anket tekniği ile veriler elde edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre stratejik düşünme özelliklerinin yetenek, tutum, davranış, eğilim ve niyet olmak üzere beş unsurdan oluştuğu tespit edilmiştir. 230 ifade üzerinden gerçekleştirilen betimleyici analiz çerçevesinde yetenek boyutu ile ilgili 24, davranış boyutu ile ilgili 15, tutum boyutu ile ilgili 17, eğilim boyutu ile ilgili 10 ve niyet boyutu ile ilgili 6 ifade olmak üzere toplamda 72 özellik tanımlanmıştır.
The main purpose of this study is to propose an item set that will form a basis for developing a scale to determine the strategic thinking characteristics of Turkish managers. The research, which uses the mixed (qualitative / quantitative) research method, was carried out in a two-stage process. In the process of establishing the theoretical expression set of the research, data were collected from the expert evaluation form of 11 people (expert-academician) who have studies and competence in the field of strategic management. In the implementation phase of the research, data were obtained from 20 senior executives who are interested in the strategy of 20 enterprises in Düzce. According to the results of the research, it was found that strategic thinking features consisted of five elements as ability, attitude, behavior, tendency and intention. As a result of the descriptive analysis performed on 230 expressions, a total of 72 features were identified, 24 of which were related to the talent dimension, 15 related to the behavior dimension, 17 related to the attitude dimension, 10 related to the tendency dimension and 6 related to the intention dimension.
