Abstract:

Natural fungi are foods consumed by our people because of their own taste and flavours. In addition to being food, they are an important resource for the peasants. A large portion of the exported fungi is collected by farmers from the forests and contributes significantly to the country’s economy. This study was done in order to identify the species of fungi that are of current economic importance in the Army or macromantar micobiot and are collected by farmers and sold in the local markets. The study identified 22 species of fungi belonging to 13 families. These species include Boletus edulis, Cantharellus cibarius, Hydnum repandum and Morchella species with a high nutritional value and potential for exporting abroad. The renewable natural fungi such as Agaricus bisporus, Pleurotus ostreatus, Flammulina velutipes and Tuber aestivum in the army province are a genetic source in the development of new varieties of both cultivation and culture-made fungi. Errors made during the fungi collection resulting in the face of fungi poisoning negatively affects the fungi consumption in the internal market. Unconsciously and excessively collected damage natural fungi populations and prevents the use of the real potential benefits of natural fungi. The information of stakeholders on the identification and collection of fungi species is of great importance in removing these negatives.
