Köklü bir mâzi üzerine inşa edilen klasik Türk edebiyatı, geniş muhteva ve üstün belâgat örneklerinden müteşekkildir. Evvelinden sahip olduğu donanımlar ışığında doğumdan ölüme, tabiat kesitlerinden vuslatsız aşklara, savaşlardan zaferlere kadar sosyal hayatın tüm tezahürleri titizlikle seçilmiş kelimelerle sunularak okuyucusuna edebî zevk verir. Bu bağlamda devlet yönetiminde gazâ bilincini üstün tutan Osmanlı Devleti’nin yetiştirdiği şairler tarafından kaleme alınan divanlarda şüphesiz savaşlar ve savaşa ait konular da şiirlerde fazlasıyla yer almaktadır. Savaş başlığında divanlarda çok fazla işlenen konulardan biri de savaş aletleridir. Konu muhteva itibarıyla oldukça geniş olması sebebiyle çalışma divan şiirinde ziyadesiyle geçen hançer, kılıç ve ok üzerinedir. Çünkü hançer, kılıç, ok divanlarda savaşları anlatan manzumelerde geçtiği kadar sevgiliye ait pek çok güzellik unsurlarının ve farklı teşbihlerin benzetilen ögesi olmuş savaş aletleridir. Çalışmada farklı yüzyıllara ait yirmi bir divan şairinin eseri incelenmiştir. Hançer, kılıç ve okun zikredildiği beyitler divan tertibinde olduğu gibi önce kasidelerde ele alınarak tarihî şahsiyetler, onların başarıları tanıtılmıştır. Kasideleri müteakiben gazel nazım şeklinde yazılmış şiirlerde çeşitli teşbih unsurları olan mezkûr aletler yorumlanmıştır. Böylece bu çalışmayla alan çalışmalarına katkı sağlayacağımızı umut ediyoruz.
Classical Turkish literature, built on a deep-rooted past, is composed of extensive content and superior rhetoric examples. By presenting all manifestations of social life, from birth to death, from wars to victories with carefully selected words, it gives literary pleasure to its readers. In this context, battles are undoubtedly included in the Ottoman poems. One of the subjects that are discussed a lot in Ottoman poetry under 'battle' concept is weapons. Since the subject is rather broad regarding content, the study was conducted on dagger, sword, and arrow, which shows a plethora in Ottoman poetry. Moreover, dagger, sword, and arrow are weapons that have also been likened to various smiles of the lover's beauty. In the study, twenty-one Ottoman poems of different centuries were examined. Historical figures and their achievements were introduced by discussing the couplets, where daggers, swords, and arrows were mentioned, within encomiums first as in the array of Ottoman poetry. Aforesaid weapons, which are various smile elements in poems written as ode verses, were interpreted following the encomiums. Thus, we hope that this study will contribute to the field studies
