Objectives: We aimed to inverstigate changes in family functions in patients with premature ejaculation. Materials and methods: In the present study, study group were randomly selected from Mustafa Kemal University Medical School Research and Training Hospital Urology Department outpatients clinic. Control group were selected among healthy volunteers. Totally 30 patients were included in the PE group and 30 healthy volunteers were included in the control group. Subjects were examined by the same psychiatrist. Beck Anxiety Inventory and Family Assessment Scale were applied to both groups Results: Compared with the control group, premature ejaculation patients had significantly higher anxiety scores (p=0.001) and more deterioration in problem solving (p=0.001), communication (p=0.022), affective responsiveness (p=0.011), behavior control (p=0.032), and affective involvement in their families (p=0.011). There were no difference in terms of roles and general functions scores (p>0.05). Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is deterioration in family functions in patients with premature ejaculation, Therefore, approaches targeting family functions may be beneficial in the treatment of these patients.
