Verimlilik, etkinlik ve etkililik kavramları ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde yapılan çalışmalarda sıkça kullanılmakta ve bu kavramlar yapılan operasyonların girdilerini, çıktılarını temel alarak performans ölçümünü gerçekleştirmektedir. Her bir kavramın benzer anlam içerdiği düşünülse de aslında her biri farklı ölçümlerin sonucunu ifade etmektedir. Bu yüzden kavramların doğru şekilde kullanılmasının sağlanması için meydana gelen karışıklıkların en aza indirgenmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; bahse konu kavramların özellikle denizcilik alanındaki Gemi Makine İşletme Mühendisliği, Gemi İnşaatı ve Gemi Makineleri Mühendisliği, Deniz Ulaştırma İşletme Mühendisliği, Deniz Bilimleri ve Teknolojisi, Deniz İşletmeciliği, Denizcilik İşletmeleri Yönetimi ana bilim dallarında kullanım şekli irdelenip anlam çatışmasının ortadan kaldırılmasıdır. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle kavramların manasının tam olarak anlaşılması için sözlüklerdeki ve literatürdeki verimlilik, etkinlik ve etkililik tanımları incelenmiştir. İkincil olarak Yükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığı Tez Merkezine ait verilerden Fen Bilimleri altındaki ana bilim dallarında yapılmış tez çalışmalarında verimlilik, etkinlik, etkililik kavramlarını içeren tezler analiz edilmiştir. Ayrıca, denizcilik alanında yapılacak olan çalışmanın tam olarak doğrulanması için Sosyal Bilimler altındaki denizcilikle ilgili ana bilim dallarında benzer inceleme yapılmıştır. Elde edilen çalışmalarda kavramların kullanım şekilleri ve İngilizce tercümeleri referans alınarak veri setleri oluşturulmuştur. Sonuç olarak kavramların tam olarak hangi anlamı ifade ettiği ve farklı anabilim dallarında nasıl kullanılacağı şeklinde çıkarımlar yapılmıştır.
The concepts of efficiency, effectiveness and effectiveness are often used in national and international studies, and these concepts perform performance measurement based on the input and output of the operations. Although it is thought that each concept contains the same meaning, in fact, each one represents the result of different measurements. It is therefore necessary to minimize the confusion that occurs in order to ensure the correct use of the concepts. The purpose of this study; the subject of bet is to eliminate the concepts of use in the main sciences, especially in the field of marine engineering, ship construction and ship machinery engineering, marine transport business engineering, marine science and technology, marine business management, marine business management and the elimination of the conflict of meaning. In this study, first of all, the definitions of efficiency, effectiveness and effectiveness in dictionaries and literature were studied in order to fully understand the meaning of concepts. Secondly, from the data of the Tess Center of the Higher Education Council, the theses that include the concepts of efficiency, effectiveness, and effectiveness were analyzed in the theses conducted in the main disciplines of science under Sciences. In addition, similar studies have been conducted in the main disciplines of maritime science under Social Sciences to complete the study in the field of maritime. In the results, data sets were created by referring to the uses of the concepts and English translations. As a result, conclusions were made in the form of exactly what the concepts mean and how to use them in different fields of anatomy.
Productivity, Efficiency and Effectiveness concepts are frequently used at national and international studies and these words are used to measure the performance of the operations based on inputs and outputs. Each word actually has a different meaning, although these words have similar meaning. Therefore, it is necessary to minimize confusion to ensure correct use of words. The aim of this study is eliminate the meaning conflict by examining the usage method of these words in the field of maritime that contain marine engineering, naval architecture and marine engineering, marine transportation engineering, marine sciences and, technology engineering, maritime business administration departments. Primarily in this study, usages of productivity, efficiency and effectiveness were examined in dictionaries and literature to the full understanding of the meaning of these words in this study. Moreover, studies belonging to the Council of Higher Education Thesis Center and published in the natural and applied sciences departments are conducted and containing efficiency, productivity and effectiveness in their titles were examined. In order to fully verify the work to be carried out in the field of maritime, social fields related to maritime departments were carried out using similar examination. The data set was created based on the usage patterns and English translations. As a result, what the concepts mean exactly and how to use in different departments were deduced.
