Abstract:

Mevlana's saying, "Yesterday went with yesterday, my dear, we need to say something new today" reveals the necessity of change. Due to the rapid realization of innovation movements in our age and the fact that creativity is one of the human skills of the 21st century, individuals and organizations are expected to develop new perspectives and adapt to innovations as much as possible. The way to keep up with the innovation age is to adapt to these innovations. In particular, the attitude towards innovations on an organizational basis and the level of implementation of these innovations are of great importance in maintaining the continuity of the organization. In schools, which are open systems, internal and external factors affecting the school can be considered a necessity for innovation. However, the perspective on innovation is not always positive. The perspective of human resources on innovation, which is one of the basic dynamics of schools, affects the efficient implementation of innovations. This study aims to examine the situation of educational organizations to keep up with the changing and developing world, what the concept of fear of innovation means for teachers, and the attitude of those who are in managerial positions in educational organizations towards innovation from the perspective of teachers. Again, with this study, the role of administrators in innovation processes and the effects of their perspective on innovation on teachers were aimed to be examined. In the research, the opinions of the teachers working in the central district of Elazig were consulted. In the study, which is within the scope of qualitative research method, 20 teachers were selected by purposive sampling method. A semi-structured interview form was used to collect data. The obtained data were analyzed using content analysis.
