Abstract:

This research was carried out to investigate the work-related quality of life levels of physical education and sports teachers in terms of various variables. In this context, the general survey model, which is consistent with the main purpose of the study, was used in this quantitative study. The study group of the research consists of a total of 151 physical education and sports teachers, 24 females and 127 males, working in the provinces of Bayburt and Erzurum. Convenience sampling method, one of the non-probabilistic sampling approaches, was used in the selection of the research group. Questionnaire form was used as data collection tool and this form consists of two parts. In the first part of the questionnaire form, there is the “Personal Information Form”, and the second part includes the “Work-Related Quality of Life Scale”. Firstly, the descriptive statistics of the raw data obtained through this questionnaire form were calculated by considering the data type. Then, the reliability of the dimensions of the scale regarding the obtained data were investigated, and difference and correlation tests were used in statistical evaluations. In this direction; Significant differences were found in the variables of having a managerial position in the school, the level of assigned, perceived personal income level, perceived family income level (including personal income), perceived welfare level, type of active sports and exercise status. However, no significant difference was found in the dimensions of the scale within the scope of the variables of gender, marital status, education level, location of the school and actively doing sports status. In addition, no significant correlation was found between the dimensions of the scale and the variables of age and total years in the teaching profession. As a result, physical education and sports teachers’ work-related quality of life levels within the scope of various variables are described as they exist.
