Abstract This work results from the master's research of the Graduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Western Pará (UFOPA) entitled: Physical Education and Indigenous School Education: the case of the Borari of the Maró Indigenous Land. The general objective of the research was to understand the development of the Physical Education curricular component in an indigenous school and can be characterized as an exploratory study in which the data produced were analyzed using the Content Analysis technique. The results found showed that the curricular component Physical Education was organized in the indigenous school from a systematization into three major categories of teaching: Games, Traditional Body Practices and the sport modality Football, contents that were systematized by indigenous teachers through the need to implement a differentiated teaching proposal in their school, in which the traditional knowledge present in the indigenous daily life is introduced in the school institution.
