Bu çalışmanın amacı, Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi öğrencilerinin kariyer stresi belirleyicilerini araştırmaktır. Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 21.39±2.60’tır (erkek n=169, kadın n=111). Choi ve arkadaşları (2011) tarafından geliştirilen, Özden ve Sertel-Berk (2017) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan “Kariyer Stresi Ölçeği” veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Ölçekten alınan puanlar ile cinsiyet, yaş ve spor yapma durumu arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır. Öğrencilerin ölçek puanları ile sınıf değişkenine göre “iş bulma baskısı” ve bölüm değişkenine göre “kariyer belirsizliği ve bilgi eksikliği” alt boyutu arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak, öğrencilerin sınıf düzeyleri arttıkça iş bulma baskısı yaşadıkları ve eğitim görülen bölüm farklılaştığında “kariyer belirsizliği ve bilgi eksikliği” stresi yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir.
The aim of this study is to investigate the career stress determiners of the students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences. The average age of students is 21.39±2.60 (man n=169, woman n=111). Developed by Choi and his friends (2011) and adapted to English by Özden and Sertel-Berk (2017) it has been used as a data collection tool. There was no significant difference between the scores taken and gender, age and sporting status. A statistically meaningful difference has been found between the scale scores of students and the sub-dimensions of "employment finding pressure" according to the class variable and the "career uncertainty and lack of knowledge" according to the section variable. As a result, it has been determined that the students are experiencing the pressure to find a job as their class levels increase and they are experiencing the stress of "career uncertainty and lack of knowledge" when the part of education is different.
The aim of this study was to investigate the career stress determinants of the students in the Faculty of Sports Sciences. The average age of students is 21.39±2.60 (male n = 169, female n = 111). “Korean Career Stress Scale” developed by Choi et al. (2011) and adapted to Turkish by Özden and Sertel-Berk (2017) was used as data collection tool. No significant difference was found between the scores obtained from the scale and gender, age and the status of doing sports. A statistically significant difference was found between the scale scores of the students and the sub-dimension of “employment pressure” according to the grade variable and the total score and the “career ambiguity and lacking information” sub-dimension according to the department variable. As a result, it was determined that students experienced the “employment pressure” as their grade levels increased and they experienced the stress of “career ambiguity and lack of information” when the education department differed.
