In this study, following the current synthesis methods in literature, three different molecules (P-1, P-2 and P-3) were successfully synthesized in some types of Schiff, which contained pyridine and kinolin groups. The structural characteristics of synthesized compounds were illuminated using spectraphotometric methods. Spectrophotometric studies found that the P-1 molecule showed a selective connection to the surrounding, while the P-2 molecule showed a selective connection to the aluminum. Also, the anti-cancer activity of all the synthesized compounds was assessed by using the Alamar blue test on human breast cancer cell (MCF-7) and normal human embryonic kidney cell (HEK 293) in in vitro conditions. According to the results of anti-cancer activity, molecules were found to cause more deaths on the MCF-7 cancer cell line. Furthermore, antibacterial work of the molecules P-1, P-2 and P-3 was successfully done on gram-positive (B. subtilis) and gram-negative (E. coli) bacterial lines using the disk diffusion method. These findings showed that P-1 and P-2 can be used as perfect fluorescence probes without damaging healthy cells in living cells. Furthermore, these compounds can be an inspiration for new studies on the anti-cancer and antibacterial applications of Schiff base molecules.
