Inadequate dietary behaviors are deleterious health habits, which, associated with physical inactivity have consequences for the nutritional status of children and adolescents. The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between food style and level of physical activity in overweight adolescents. It is a descriptive, exploratory, and quantitative research, developed with adolescents with overweight and / or obesity. From these, data related to food behavior were collected by the Dutch Food Behavior Questionnaire (QHCA) and physical activity practice using the Physical Activity Questionnaire for Children (PAQ-C). We adopted p <0.05 as a level of significance. Fifty-one adolescents were evaluated, with a mean of 11.92 ± 1.66 years. Mostly were classified as overweight. The QHCA showed higher mean scores attributed to restrictive style (2.1 ± 1.0 points) and external (2.3 ± 1.1 points) than the mean emotional style (1.6 ± 0 points), 7 points), in relation to the level of physical activity, the major part was classified as sedentary (64.7%; n = 33), with mean PAC-C scores of 2.61 ± 0.57 points. There was no association between the scores attributed to the types of food style, the level of physical activity or the nutritional status. It was concluded that in this sample, sedentary lifestyle and restrictive and external eating styles prevailed. In addition, no correlation was found between dietary style and physical activity level.
