Osmanlı İmparatorluğu çeşitli devletler ile siyasi ilişkiler doğrultusunda diplomatik görüşmeler ve anlaşmalar yapmıştır. Bu devletlerden biri de İskandinav coğrafyasında özellikle 16. Yüzyıl’da yükselerek Kuzey’de Rusya’nın bir rakibi olan İsveç’tir. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu başlangıçta İsveç'e karşı mesafeli diplomasi uygulamasına rağmen, ortak düşmanları Rusya'ya karşı İsveç ile ilişkilerini geliştirmek zorunda kalmıştır. Bu kapsamda özellikle Büyük Petro ve XII. Karl arasında gerçekleşen Poltova Savaşı ve ardından İsveç kralının Osmanlı’ya sığınması ile oldukça gelişen Osmanlı-İsveç diplomasisi çeşitli ticaret anlaşmaları ile pekişmiştir. İki ülke arasındaki söz konusu ticari anlaşmalarından ilki 1737 yılında diğeri ise 1840 yılında imzalanan ticaret anlaşmadır. Çalışmamızda 18. Yüzyıl Osmanlı-İsveç ticaret diplomasisi perspektifinde ve 11/280 numaralı name-i hümayun defteri belgelerinden edinilen bilgilere göre 1840 Osmanlı-İsveç ticaret anlaşması maddeleri incelenmiştir.
The Ottoman Empire has conducted diplomatic talks and agreements on the basis of political relations with various states. One of these states is in the Scandinavian geography especially 16. The first trade agreement between the two countries was signed in 1737 and the second in 1840. 18 of our work. In the Perspective of the Ottoman-Swedish Trade Diplomacy of the Century and according to the information obtained from the documents of the name-i book of the 11/280 number, the 1840 Ottoman-Swedish Trade Agreement articles were studied.
