References in many bibliographies are sometimes referred to as "Surname, I", so the citations of academics whose Surname and initials are the same may occasionally interfere. This problem is often the case with citation indexes all over the world.

Abstract:

2022

Abstract:

The city of Merv was one of the administrative centers of the four important regions that formed Khorasan in the Middle Ages. The city, which was founded on fertile lands irrigated by the Murgap river and located on an important trade route such as the Great Silk Road, has been the capital of many civilizations in the past. The history of the city dates back to BC. The city came under the rule of Muslims as a result of the conquest made in the time of Hz. Omar. Merv, which was the caliphate center of the Abbasids during the reign of Caliph Me'mun, also became the center of science and culture. After the Ghaznavids defeated in the Dandanakan War, the dominance of the city passed to the Seljuks. During the reign of Sultan Sencer, Merv became the capital of the Great Seljuk State. During this period, various reconstructions were made in the city, and the quality of life of the people was tried to be increased. The city of Merv, which is a center of science and culture, is especially known for its libraries. Scholars and travelers from various regions came here to benefit from these libraries. As a result, the city became one of the cities that led the civilization in the Khorasan region. The city of Merv, which is one of the important administrative centers of the medieval Islamic geography, has an important position in terms of knowing and learning Turkish-Islamic history, cultury and civilization.
