Throughout history, the wealth and cultural identity of various civilizations was measured with the artistic and architectural values of the cities. In this study have been stand on the subject urban sculpture which formed the public space. Te aim is, interpreting the existence of sculpture in public areas. Its including the evaluation of all possible environmental factors. For this, discussed the work of world- renowned three artist with different artistic language of expression. Thus, it was considered that the interaction of different forms and environmental factors would be enriching the topic. Te Works of art examined as an example are; Anish Kapoor’s “Cloud Gate”, Louise Bourgeois’s “Maman” and Richard Serra’s “Tilted Arc”. Studies revealed that cities as an environmental factor, determines the human behavior and where people are integrated with environment itself feels happy. Quality urban living is related with equality, prosperity, health although with quality urban spaces. It’s known that importance of aesthetic changes the relationship and perception with the World. In the same way we can describe that societies with aesthetic sensibilities tends much more aesthetic living areas. As a result, we can say that public sculptures in public areas are providing the societies expectations and suitability of their lives.
