Objective: To evaluate the dietary intake of children aged six to 12 months. Materials and Methods: This was a quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study. For anthropometric evaluation, growth curves of the World Health Organization and anthropometric indicators were used to classify the nutritional status of children under five years old. Results: This study had 31 participants, most had a high consumption of fresh and minimally processed foods and breastfeeding time was greater than six months for 18 (58.1%) of the sample. Although meat consumption showed a significant association with eutrophic nutritional status (p<0.005), the association of nutritional status and food intake did not show significance with other foods. Conclusion: Children's food intake is adequate in this sample. There was no significant association between nutritional status and food intake for most foods, and further studies on food intake in this population are needed.
