This study was carried out to determine the effects of humic acid applications at different doses on plant growth and quality properties in green onion and lettuce, which are widely grown in our country. Karacabey onion variety and İntfa Red Curly lettuce variety were used as herbal material. In the study, 0 (control), 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000 ppm doses of humic acid in liquid form named TKİ Hümas were evaluated. It was determined that different application doses of humic acid had statistically significant effects on some plant growth parameters and quality properties of green onion and lettuce. According to the findings obtained from the research, it was detected that humic acid significantly increased plant height, axis diameter, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, root length, root fresh weight, root dry weight and dry matter rate in green onion plant height, plant fresh weight, plant dry weight, root collar diameter and number of leaves in lettuce compared to the control. In general, it was determined that humic acid applications had positive effects on plant growth parameters and quality properties in both species. When compared to the control, it was found that plant fresh weight in green onion and lettuce increased by 7.07-28.82% and 15.61-48.94%, respectively, depending on the humic acid doses. When the humic acid doses were evaluated, it was detected that especially 1000 ppm dose in green onion and 500 ppm dose in lettuce were more effective on plant growth and quality.
