In this study, the curriculum and internal instruction of “Makriköy İnas İttihadi Osmani Mektebi” is told and analyzed. Accordingly, the aim of „mektep‟ is to train in both Ottoman Turkish and French. Female-specific skills are intended to be gained by the students. Religious sensibility is also at the forefront. Besides, morals and national Ottoman discipline are aimed to be given. „Mektep‟ is constituted by the nursery class and primary school classes. Games, songs and manipulative skills are intended to be given in nursery class, and on the other hand, some courses such as Turkish and French in particular, writing, calculation, manual works, geography and history will be given. „Mektep‟ is fee-paying. The main purpose of „mektep‟ is to make the students to complete their education within the scope of Ottoman discipline. Herein, any occasions would be appealed. With the modern education, which was settled in the Second Constitutional Period through this program, it can be understood that schools for girls are also intended to upgrade at the level of European standards. Hence, the education received would help to accelerate the activities of Turkish women in social and cultural life.
