Abstract:

Purpose: This study aimed at determining the effectiveness of cattle immünglobulin G (IgG) against Salmonella infections created by Salmonella Dublin, S. Typhimurium, S. Kentucky or S. Anatum in mice. The cattle were vaccinated three times between 21 days with inactive monovalan, bivalan and combined Salmonella vaccines. 10 days after the last vaccination, blood samples from vaccinated cows were collected and the antibodies formed against Salmonella antigens were determined by the micro Serum Aglutination test. A total of 100 mice (a total of 10 groups and 10 mice in each group) were made orally with Salmonella species. After the clay, the mice was given IgG orally. The mice was observed for 20 days in the direction of disease formation and death. At the same time, output samples were analyzed to determine the effect of IgG on the hairstyles of Salmonella types with ejaculation. The findings found that the antibodies that occur after vaccination in cow’s blood were high compared to pre-vaccination and controls. The disease formation and deaths in the vaccine groups were determined as 9 in the combined vaccine group (6 S. Dublin, 2 S. Typhimurium and 1 S. Kentucky), 3 in the bivalan vaccine group (3 S. Typhimurium) and 2 in the monovalan vaccine group (1 S. Anatum and S. Kentucky). In all vaccine groups, the re-isolation number of Salmonella species from the internal organs of mice and output samples was found low. Recommendation: As a result, sheep IgG was observed to have a protective but limited effect against Salmonella infections.
