Bu araştırmada üniversite öğrencileri perspektifinden Sinop ili destinasyon imajının ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Sinop ili destinasyonuna ilişkin olumlu ve olumsuz yönlerin ortaya çıkarılması hedeflenmiştir. Bu kapsamda 501 üniversite öğrencisinden anket tekniği ve kolayda örneklem yöntemi kapsamında veri toplanmıştır. Öğrencilerden toplanan verilerinin analizi sonucunda Sinop destinasyonu için öğrencilerin imaj algısında şehir güvenliği, tarihi ve coğrafi değer, şehir halkı, sağlık, konaklama ve temizlik imkanları, ulaşım imkanları, kültür, sanat ve spor etkinlikleri ve eğlence ve alışveriş imkanları önceliğinde olmak üzere yedi boyutta ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerin genel olarak Sinop şehri imaj algısı ortalaması ise =2,78 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda görülmüştür ki öğrenciler Sinop şehrini tarihi ve coğrafi değer yönünden görülmeye değer çok sakin ve güvenli bir şehir olarak görmekle birlikte şehir halkı, sağlık, konaklama ve temizlik imkanları, ulaşım imkanları, kültür, sanat ve spor etkinlikleri ve eğlence ve alışveriş imkanları yönünden yeterli düzeyde bulmamaktadır.
This study aims to reveal the synopsis of Sinop or destination from the perspective of university students. The goal is to identify the positive and negative aspects of the Sinop or destination. In this framework, data from 501 university students were collected within the framework of the survey technique and easy sampling method. As a result of the analysis of the data collected from students, the image perception of students for the Sinop destination has been achieved in seven dimensions, including city safety, historical and geographical value, city people, health, accommodation and cleaning facilities, transport facilities, cultural, art and sports events and entertainment and shopping facilities. The average image perception of the students in the city of Sinop is =2.78. The study found that students see Sinop as a very quiet and secure city that is worth seeing in terms of historical and geographical values, while the city population finds it not sufficient in terms of health, accommodation and cleaning facilities, transportation facilities, cultural, art and sports events and entertainment and shopping facilities.
