Günümüz dünyasında her alanda görülen hızlı değişim, Türkiye kırlarını da etkisi altına almış, geleneksel kır meskenleri çok hızlı gelişen bir mimari degradasyonla karşı karşıya kalmıştır. Bu çalışmada Sinop yöresinde bulunan geleneksel ahşap meskenlerdeki değişim ele alınmış, coğrafi çevrenin bütün özelliklerini içinde barındıran bu konutların hızla nasıl aslından uzaklaştırıldıkları ve bunu etkileyen hususlar üzerinde durulmuştur. Sinop yöresinde, çevredeki zengin orman örtüsünden faydalanılarak inşa edilen ahşap kır meskenlerinin bir kısmı göçler sonucu hızla boşalan yerleşmelerde kaderine terk edilerek yok olma tehlikesi ile karşı karşıya kalırken halen kullanılan meskenler için de farklı bir tehlike söz konusudur. Gerek yeni bir ev inşa etmenin ekonomik zorlukları, gerekse kerestenin pahalılığı ve doğal çevreden artık temin edilemez oluşu yöre halkının mevcut ahşap evlerini en kolay ve ucuz şekilde kullanılabilir hale getirmeye zorlamaktadır. Bu süreçte evlerin çatısındaki taş örtü yerini kiremit ve sac örtüye, ahşap malzeme ise yerini tuğla/briket gibi malzemelere bırakmaya başlamıştır. Sonuç olarak yöredeki geleneksel konutlar hızla yerini doğal ve çağdaş yapı malzemesinin birlikte yer aldığı ne geleneksel ne de modern olmayan konutlara bırakmaktadır.
In today’s world, the rapid change seen in every area has also affected the lands of Turkey, and traditional rural settlements have faced a rapidly developing architectural degradation. This study discussed the change in traditional wooden housing in the Sinop area, focused on how these houses, which houses all the characteristics of the geographical environment, are quickly removed from the real and the facts that affect it. In the Sinop area, some of the wooden rural houses built using the rich forest cover in the surrounding area are faced with the danger of disappearance by leaving their fate in rapidly empty settlements as a result of migration, while still used houses are a different danger. The economic difficulties of building a new house, the cost of the grass if necessary and the unavailability of the natural environment, are forced to make the local people’s existing wooden houses available in the easiest and cheapest way. In this process; the stone cover on the roof of the houses has begun to put its place on the rubber and rubber cover, while wood material has begun to put its place on materials such as rubber/briket. As a result, traditional housing in the town quickly leaves its place to non-traditional and non-modern housing where natural and contemporary building materials are combined.
Rapid change in each field in today’s world has also influenced rural settlements in Turkey and traditional rural dwellings have been faced with a rapidly developing architectural degradation. In this study, the change in traditional wooden houses in Sinop region was discussed and it is emphasized the reasons why these houses are quickly removed from their origins which have all the features of the geographical environment, and issues affecting them. Most of the villages in the Sinop region are made up of wooden country houses constructed by taking advantage of the rich forest cover around the periphery. In the region where rural settlements are being abandoned due to economic backwardness, many rural houses are faced with the danger of extinction by leaving to their fate while there is a different threat for the houses still used. In this case, both the economic difficulties of building a new house and the cost of timber, and the fact that it is no longer available in natural surroundings force local people had wooden houses usable in an easy and cheap as possible way. In this process; they started to place the stone cover in the roofs of the houses with tiles and sheet metal, and in the houses of the houses with wooden materials like brick / briquettes. As a consequence, traditional residences in the region quickly leave their place nor traditional neither modern residences where natural and contemporary building materials co-exist.
