Abstract:

The political and social institutions of the Ottoman State are now defined as a preliminary acceptance in social science and social gender studies that exist with a "man-dominating" (patriarchal) structure. The existence of women in this society must now be evaluated in a different dimension to the second half of the nineteenth century, when a new state mechanism, a new production-consumption relationship, a new society, a new family and therefore a new literary community was built. In this study, in the early modern Ottoman society, female writers, along with male writers, will be studied with the help of the feminist literary criticism theories that the efforts to create their own voices, in other words, to create their own languages are limited to or supported by what social and institutional dynamics. In the article, the important names of modern Turkish literature will be explained by examples of how the ideas of Ahmet Mithat Efendi discussed on the "woman problem" in the Ottoman literature environment are included in the "man's speech", in contrast, the poet Fıtnat Ms, the poet Nigâr and Fatma Ali Ms, in this speech, will be explained by examples of how a speech and language work to "exist" in this speech.
