Infantile colic is characterized by excessive crying with irritability which seen in healthy and normally growth infants. Fussing of a healty infant can become an important problem for parents and clinicians. It was definition by Wessel near 50 years ago. Paroxysms of irritability, agitation or crying for more than three hours per day on three days per week at least three weeks called infantile colic. This problem usually resolves spontaneously by the age of three months. Infants with infantile colic usually cry at evening or night and there is minimal response to attempts at soothing. The prevalence of infantile colic is changeable according to population ranges from %5-%40 of infants. The etiology of infantile colic remains unclear. Many risk factors assessed but no one is certain. We invastigate ethiology, risk factors and treatment methods of infantile colic.
