Abstract:

The relationship between cultural heritage and sustainable development has been on the agenda of many relevant stakeholders for many years. Cultural heritage was emphasized within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SKA) adopted by the United Nations (UN) and included in the Agenda for Sustainable Development in September 2015. Believing in this relationship, this article focuses on the capabilities and limitations of various disciplines with the aim of implementing SKAs through Cultural Heritage Protection and Management (KMK&Y). This article claims that we need innovative and transformative strategies and policies for the preservation and management of cultural heritage in order to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Mainly in architecture, urban design, urban and regional planning - the various disciplines, including common disciplines, require a strong cooperation between economics, geography, demography and urban sociology. The research presented in this article is based on a comprehensive scan of literature on sustainable development objectives and the conservation and management of cultural heritage and cultural heritage, and a subsequent aim is to reveal a interdisciplinary approach to the conservation and management of cultural heritage to sustainable development objectives. For this purpose, the research identifies an individual relationship between SKAs and KMK&Y and emphasizes the role of each common discipline in KMK&Y and sustainable development through critical analysis.
