Abstract:

The aim of this study is to evaluate the practices of remote learning applied in the Covid-19 process according to the opinions of graduate students. Research is a situation work. In the study, data were collected through student diaries from 14 volunteers who continue to study undergraduate associated with the University of Çanakkale on March eighteenth and using semi-configured interview forms with 7 of these 14 students. The data was analyzed using content analysis and visual analysis. The research results in the fact that graduate students think they increase the efficiency of distance learning practices, the factors they think are the elimination of physical preparation for classes, the availability of class records and materials, the acceleration of communication with teachers, the supporting attitudes and skills of teachers, the rapid adaptation to the university’s distance learning practices, the qualifications of students, the economic formation of time-money-money, the prevention of the assignments of students preparing classes/departure from classes, the feedback given to teaching tasks, the facility of access to resources, the opportunity to participate in online training. The factors that have a negative impact on the distance learning process are the concentration of classes in a day, the increased task burden, the noise of family members/external alarms, the lack of sufficient explanation of teaching tasks, the excessive exposure to technology, the problems caused by pandemic, the student qualifications, the internet-caused difficulties, the system-technological problems, the uniformity in methods and techniques, the excess of class presence, the presentation of the course contents by students (bad presentations). These problems are also found in the field of distance learning.
