Introduction: Ameloblastoma is a benign epithelial odontogenic tumor which is locally invasive and of slow growth. Ameloblastomas locates on jaw bones preferably mandibula. Follicular ameloblastoma is a subtype of conventional ameloblastomas. We present our case that has caused wide destruction in mandibula. Case: A-49-year old male patient referred to Mustafa Kemal University Dentistry Department with intra-oral sweeling. On panoramic view, a multilobular tumoral lesion has been determined and computed tomography scan revealed 5.5x4.5 cm sized mass lesion with cystic areas that has destructed and expanded left mandibula ramus angulus. Theincisional biopsy has been reported as ameloblastoma by MKU Pathology Laboratory and the patient was sent to Otorhinology Department for radical surgery. The final diagnosis has been confirmed as follicular ameloblastoma after the examination of the material and follow-up of the patient has been advised for local recurrence. Conclusion: Ameloblastomas are the most frequent neoplasms of real odontogenicepithelium. The prognosis of the treatment is basically dependent to the extension of the lesion and adjacent structures involvement rather than origin of lesion
