Alienation in education means individuals’ moving away from knowledge, learning, and process of learning; perceiving these process as meaningless; decreasing the attention towards learning period and these processes becoming more boring and unappealing (Sidorkin, 2004). Sensation is an affective aspect that can be learned. However, professional sensation is the tendency to the profession (Uygun, 2008). Teacher competency concept is an adopted concept by most of the educationists in terms of presenting a prospective teacher’s skills who completed one’s education in the field (Kuran, 2002). In this study, it was aimed to examining the relation between the faculty of education students’ alienation levels and sensation levels and competency towards teaching profession. As a result of the study, it was revealed that prospective teachers’ alienation levels were moderate, and professional sensations and self-efficacy were high. It was found that there was a negative correlation between prospective teachers’ alienation levels and professional sensations level and alienation levels and self-efficacy perception levels; there was a positive correlation between self-efficacy perceptions and professional sensation levels.
