Abstract:

This study was conducted to study the factors that influence teachers’ attitudes towards reporting child sexual abuse. The study’s work group included 213 classes of education and 207 pre-school teachers working in the National Education Directorate’s kindergartens and primary schools in the Afyonkarahisar central districts in 2019-2020. As a data collection tool, the study used the "General Information Form" to identify the personal information of teachers and the "Teacher's Attitude Measure to Report Child Sexual Abuse" to identify the attitudes of teachers to report child sexual abuse. According to the data obtained from the "Made of Attitude towards the Notification of Child Sexual Harassment", there have been significant differences according to the gender of teachers, the program in which teachers graduate, the advances in the profession of pre-school teachers, the status of teachers receiving education on child neglect and abuse, the status of teachers under the National Education Policy of the child neglect and abuse suspect notification obligation and the status of teachers having knowledge of the Child Protection Act (CKK).
