Bu araştırmanın amacı, Ankara Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulu’nda görev yapan öğretim elemanlarının iş doyumu beklenti ve beklentiyi gerçekleştirme düzeylerini karşılaştırmaktır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Ankara Üniversitesi, Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulunda görev yapan öğretim üyesi (n:7),öğretim görevlisi ve araştırma görevlisi (n:7) ve üniversitenin diğer bölümlerinde görev yapan beden eğitimi okutmanları (n:8) oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmış ve konu ile ilgili bilgiler kaynakların taranması ve geliştirilen anketin uygulanması yolu ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada uygulanan anket Balcı’nın 1985 yılında “Okul Yöneticilerinin İş Doyumu’ adlı doktora çalışmasından alınarak araştırmacı tarafından çalışma grubuna uyarlanmıştır. İş doyumu beklenti ve beklentiyi gerçekleşme düzeylerinin karşılaştırılmasında varyans analizi tekniği kullanılarak SPSS programında analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonunda, araştırmaya katılan öğretim üyesi, öğretim-araştırma görevlisi ve okutmanların iş doyumu beklentiyi gerçekleştirme düzeyleri açısından, iş niteliği alt boyutunda okutmanların öğretim-araştırma görevlilerine kıyasla beklentilerinin daha fazla gerçekleştiği, birlikte çalışma alt boyutunda ise okutmanların öğretim üyelerine kıyasla beklentilerini daha yüksek derecede karşıladıkları saptanmıştır
