Bu makalenin amacı Eskişehir Karacahisar Kalesi’nde 2019-2022 yılları arasındaki kazılarında bulunmuş olan örneklerinden yola çıkarak I. Murad sikkelerinin nümizmatik açıdan irdelenmesi ve söz konusu sikkelerin Karacahisar Kalesi tarihine dair sunduğu verilerin değerlendirilmesidir. Karacahisar Kalesi Eskişehir merkeze yaklaşık 7 km. mesafede yer alan bir ortaçağ kalesidir. Arkeolojik veriler ışığında 7. yüzyıldan itibaren iskana sahne olduğu anlaşılan kale 1230’lu yıllarda Ertuğrul Gazi, 1288 yılında ise Osman Gazi tarafından fethedilmiştir. Kale ilk hutbenin okunduğu ve beyliğinin kurumsallaşması ile ilgili ilk uygulamaların gerçekleştirildiği bir yerleşim yeridir. 2019 – 2022 yılları arasında kalede gerçekleştirilen arkeolojik çalışmalarda okunabilir durumda bulunan 722 sikkeden 281’i I. Murad’a aittir. I. Murad döneminde basılmış olan üç tip gümüş ve beş tip bakır (mangır) örneği olduğu bilinmektedir. Karacahisar Kalesi sikkeleri arasında söz konusu sekiz tipten beşine ait örneklere rastlanmıştır. Kalede en yoğun sikke grubu olan I. Murad sikkeleri 1362-1389 yılları arasında darp edilmiş olup, söz konusu sikkeler Karacahisar ve Osmanlı tarihine dair önemli çıkarımlara kaynaklık eder.
The purpose of this article is to draw from the examples found in the excavations in the Eskişehir Karacahisar Castle between 2019-2022 and to evaluate the data provided by the I. Murad cycles from the imismatic point of view and the data provided by the aforementioned cycles on the history of Karacahisar Castle. Karacahisar Castle is approximately 7 km from Eskişehir centre. It is a medieval castle located in the distance. In light of archaeological data, the castle, which appears to be a scene from the 7th century, was conquered by Ertuğrul Gazi in the 1230s, and in 1288 by Osman Gazi. The castle is a settlement where the first hutben was read and the first applications related to the institutionalization of the beast were carried out. From 2019 to 2022, 281 of the 722 shekels found in readability in the castle's archaeological studies belong to Murad I. It is known that there are three kinds of silver and five kinds of baker (manga) that were printed during the Murad period. There are five examples of eight of these types among the Karacahisar Castle cycles. The most intense cyclic group in the castle, Murad's cycles were struck between 1362-1389 years, and these cycles lead to important conclusions about Karacahisar and Ottoman history.
