In the calculation of masonry structures, it is common practice to use a single homogenized material, which melts the properties of the mortar, stone, etc. in it. The properties of this material, such as compressive strength and elastic modulus, can be calculated from the characteristic values of the constituent materials. In order to determine the mechanical properties of stone material with the help of undestructive testing, Schmidt hammer and P wave velocity measurement with ultrasonic devices have been widely used. In this study, historical Kireçli and Kız bridges located in Erzurum were studied. On-site studies were carried out to determine the type of stone material and samples were taken from the quarries. Physical, index and mechanical tests were performed on the stone specimens to establish correlations between these properties. After the studies on stone samples, studies were carried out on the masonry units composed of three stone blocks. Highly correlated relation is derived between compressive strength and P wave velocity values of the stone blocks.
