Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de engelli bireylerin uzaktan eğitimi konusunda yapılan lisansüstü tezlerin yöntemsel eğilimlerini, türlerini, tezlerde incelenen engel durumlarını, konularını, ders alanı ve değişken türlerini belirlemektir. Bu amaçla Türkiye Yükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığı YÖK ulusal tez merkezinde yer alan lisansüstü tezler taranmış ve on dört adet lisansüstü tez analiz edilmiştir. İçerik analizi yönteminin kullanıldığı bu çalışmada ulusal tez merkezinden indirilen lisansüstü tezler araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan analiz formu kullanılarak analiz edildi. Çalışma sonucunda, engellilerin uzaktan eğitimi ile ilgili yapılan ilk tezin 1986 yılına ait olduğu ve 2000’li yıllarda az da olsa tez sayısının arttığı görülmektedir. İncelenen tezlerde en çok nitel ve nicel araştırma yöntemlerinin kullanıldığı belirlenmiştir. Tezlerin örneklem grubunu ise en çok zihinsel engelli bireylerin oluşturduğu tespit edildi. İncelenen tezlerin en çok yüksek lisans tezi düzeyinde ve bilgisayar mühendisliği anabilim dalı bünyesinde gerçekleştirildiği görülmektedir. Ayrıca, çalışma sonucunda yapılan tezlerin en çok Trakya ve Anadolu Üniversitelerinde yürütüldüğü görülmektedir. Sonuç olarak, konu ile ilgili yapılan lisansüstü tez sayısının az olduğu belirlenmiş ve araştırmacılara yönelik çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur
The aim of this study in Turkey is to determine the methodological trends, types, obstacles studied in the theses, topics, course area and variable types of graduate theses on distant education for disabled individuals. For this purpose, the postgraduate theses located in the YÖK National Thesis Center of the Turkish Higher Education Council and fourteen postgraduate theses were analyzed. In this study, where the content analysis method was used, the postgraduate theses downloaded from the national thesis center were analyzed using the analysis form prepared by researchers. The study finds that the first thesis on distant education for disabled persons belonged to 1986 and that the number of theses increased in the 2000s. In the examined theses, the most qualitative and quantitative methods of research were identified. The sample group of the theses was found to be the most mental disabled individuals. The examined theses appear to be most performed at the master's thesis level and within the computer engineering department. In addition, the study finds that the theses made in the results of the study are most performed in the University of Trakya and Anadolu. As a result, the number of postgraduate theses made in relation to the subject was determined to be small and various recommendations were made to researchers.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the post-graduate theses conducted in Turkey about distance education of the disabled individuals in terms of methodological trends, type of the study, examined disability types, subjects, course areas, and variable types. For this purpose, post-graduate theses listed in national theses database centers of Council of Higher Education of Turkey were reviewed, and as a result of this review, 14 post-graduate theses were analyzed. The content analysis method was used as a research methodology in this study. Theses downloaded from the national theses database center were analyzed using the analysis forms prepared by the researchers. Consequently, it was observed that the first thesis about the distance education of the disabled individuals was conducted in 1986, and there was a slight increase in the number of theses during the 2000’s. Besides, it was observed that quantitative and qualitative research methods were mostly used in the theses. It was also determined that the sample groups of the studies were mostly formed by mentally disabled individuals. It was found that the theses were mostly at the master of science level and mostly conducted in computer science departments. In addition to this, it was seen that the studies were mostly conducted in Trakya and Anadolu Universities. Finally, as a result of this study, it was found that the number of studies about the distance education of disabled individuals was low, and some suggestions were made for the interested researchers
