Buhara tarih boyunca siyasi, ticari, kültürel özelliklerini korumayı başarmış önemli bir şehirdir. Merkezi konumu ve farklı medeniyetlere ev sahipliği yapması şehrin bölge üzerindeki ehemmiyetini arttırmıştır. Narşahî’nin Tarih-i Buhara isimli eseri kentin ve bölgenin kadim tarihini anlatan mühim bir kaynak eserdir. Narşahî’nin eserinde coğrafi şartların bölge sakinleri üzerindeki etkisi, buna bağlı olarak ekonomik ve kültürel faaliyetleri gibi tarihi coğrafyayı ilgilendiren konular hakkında bilgiler bulunmaktadır. Sonuç olarak bu önemli eseri tarihi coğrafya unsurlarıyla yorumlayarak bölgenin tarihi ve coğrafyası arasındaki ilişki tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.
Bucharest is an important city that has managed to preserve its political, commercial and cultural characteristics throughout history. Its central location and hosting different civilizations has increased the city’s dominance over the region. Narshahi’s History-i Buhara is an important source of history that tells the city and the region. Narshahi’s work contains information about the influence of geographical conditions on the residents of the region, accordingly on topics of historical geography, such as economic and cultural activities. As a result, this important work was tried to identify the relationship between the history and geography of the region by interpreting historical geographical elements.
