Türkiye’de Eğitim Alanında Artırılmış Gerçeklikle İlgili Yapılan Tezlerin İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu araştırmada, eğitim alanında artırılmış gerçeklik teknolojisini konu alan Türkiye’de hazırlanmış yüksek lisans ve doktora tezlerinin doküman analizi yöntemiyle incelenerek, artırılmış gerçeklik konusundaki mevcut durumun ve eğilimlerin ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda, Yükseköğretim Kurulu Ulusal Tez Merkezi Veri Tabanı’nda erişim izni verilmiş olan 27 lisansüstü tez çalışması araştırmaya dâhil edilmiştir. Araştırma tarama modelinde desenlenmiş olup veriler doküman analizi yöntemiyle taranmıştır. Araştırmaya dâhil edilen çalışmalar araştırmanın yayın yılı, türü (yüksek lisans - doktora), çalışma alanı, hedef grubu, dili, yapıldığı üniversite, yöntemi, örneklem büyüklüğü, duyusal uyaranı, görüntüleme türü ve bağımlı değişkeni olmak üzere 11 kategoride incelenmiştir. Tarama sonucunda elde edilen veriler ile yapılan çalışmaların eğilimlerini belirlemek için istatistiki işlemler yapılarak frekans ve yüzde değerleri hesaplanmıştır ve yorumlanmıştır. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda eğitim alanında artırılmış gerçeklik konusunda yapılan çalışma sayısının arttığı, en fazla çalışmanın Fen Bilgisi dersinde yapıldığı, en fazla seçilen araştırma yönteminin karma yöntem, hedef grup olarak ortaokul öğrencileri ve örneklem büyüklüğü olarak da 51-100 sayı aralığının tercih edildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca, görüntüleyici türü açısından tabletlerin daha fazla kullanıldığı, yoğun olarak görme duyusuna hitap eden uygulamaların geliştirildiği ve artırılmış gerçekliğin öğrenme etkisinin en çok araştırıldığı bağımlı değişkenin akademik başarı olduğu görülmektedir. Araştırmanın sonunda, artırılmış gerçeklik konusunda çalışmalar yapan araştırmacılara ve uygulama geliştiricilere önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract:

In this study, the study of the master's and doctoral theses prepared in Turkey on enhanced reality technology in the field of education is aimed at identifying the current situation and trends on enhanced reality. In this scope, the Higher Education Council has been included in the research of the 27 postgraduate thesis, which has been granted access permission to the National Thesis Center Database. The research is designed in the scan model and the data is scaned by the method of document analysis. The studies included in the research were studied in 11 categories, including the study’s publication year, type (graduate degree – doctorate), field of study, target group, language, university, method, sample size, sensual stimulation, type of image and dependent variable. For statistical processes to determine the trends of the studies with the data obtained in the scan results, the frequency and percentage values are calculated and interpreted. The result of the research was that the number of studies on increased reality in the field of education increased, the most of the studies were done in the Science Science course, the most selected method of research was the mixed method, the target group of high school students and the sample size was also the preferred range of 51-100 numbers. In addition, it is seen that the dependent variable where tablets are more used in terms of the type of display, the applications that are focused on intensely visual senses are developed and the learning effect of increased reality is the most studied is the academic success. At the end of the study, recommendations were given to researchers and application developers working on augmented reality.

Investigation Of Postgraduate Theses Related To Augmented Reality In The Field Of Education In Turkey

The aim of this research is to investigate postgraduate theses about the issue of augmented reality in the field of education in Turkey through document analysis method. A total of 27 postgraduate open access theses are studied in the research. The research was designed in the survey model and data were studied by the method of document analysis. Investigated postgraduate theses in this research are analyzed in 11 categories in terms of publication date, type of thesis (master or doctorate), field of study, target group, language, university where it was studied, method, sampling size, sensory stimulus, type of viewer and dependent variable. The frequency and percentage values were calculated and interpreted by performing statistical analyzes to determine the tendency of the studies. As a result of the research, it was concluded that the number of studies on augmented reality in the field of education increased, the highest number of studies were carried out in the Science course, the most selected research method was the mixed method, mostly middle school students were chosen as the target group and the average sample size ranged between 51 and 100. In addition, it is seen that the dependent variable is academic achievement, in terms of viewer type tablets are used more, applications that appeal to vision are developed intensively, and the learning effect of augmented reality is mostly investigated. At the end of the study, suggestions were made to researchers and application developers working on augmented reality.
