Abstract:

With big changes in the service sector, the importance of customer satisfaction is increasing. Therefore, the service sector is more liable to employees. In the service provision, the organizations require that their employees behave according to the customer’s expectations within their own rules. One of the most important facts that occur at this point is emotional work. Emotional work is the state of the emotions determined by the organizations being displayed by the employees. One of the basic elements that individuals need to have in their daily lives to be successful and happy is life satisfaction. Life satisfaction is a concept that relates to the whole of the individual’s life and is not just a state of satisfaction in one field, but a state of satisfaction in the whole of life. The purpose of this study is to reveal the relationship between emotional work and life satisfaction. The research was conducted on hospitals with a long and intense working conditions. The research technique was used for the purpose of collecting data. The data were obtained from the staff of the hospital in Ankara. The data was analyzed in the SPSS program. The results of the analysis found that there was a positive meaningful relationship between emotional work and life satisfaction.
