Abstract:

The relationship between society and art can be studied in a wide range, from visual arts to literature, from advertising to design objects. In this work, the art works that different social structures and views reveal and the sculpture art is based in these works. Examples of the work were chronologically monitored and chosen from certain main communities and civilizations. The relationship between society and art has been tried to be evaluated through the statue examples produced by four different cultures and structures. These examples can be increased in such a way as to deal with the process to date. The artwork combined with the material world, human, cultural and social life, when the historical process is studied and followed, a detailed life fantasy emerges. The aim is to draw attention to the dynamics of art’s development and change while trying to understand the relationship between society and art. This way it is to help the person better understand himself and the world he lives. Today we know that art is a form of knowledge. Through the works of art, people can find the opportunity to follow their inner experiences, their impulses, their concerns, their fears, their expectations of satisfaction and their hunger, their inner and worldly needs, their passion for evil, their questions like life-death, their concepts of justice, war and peace, their pleasures and their prejudices, in short, the characteristics of the majority as a human being.
