Abstract:

When the international tourism movements towards Turkey are examined, the number of tourists from Arab countries is increasing. Turkey, along with its unique natural beauty, has become one of the favorite visits of Arab tourists for many more reasons as its historical, geographical and cultural proximity, the effects of series and films, social media. Arab tourists are highly preferred in our country, especially in hot summer periods, as cool and quiet places where green and water meet. The Sapanca area is mainly a landscape for Arab tourists with the lake it possesses. As many Arab tourists welcome Sapanca in the summer, the number of tourists visiting the site increases every day. Even these tourists have become permanent, they have started their real estate sales.  The Arab tourism in Sapanca has brought many economic, socio-cultural and environmental changes. The aim of the study in this direction is to determine how the people living in Sapanca can evaluate the effects of tourists from Arab countries on the site. The research has found that Arab tourists have the idea that their visits are not positively welcomed by the local people, and that they are more harmful to the people of Sapanca than benefit.
