Although it has been widely accepted that calcium hydroxide should be removed from the root canals before obturation, its complete removal of all the is not easy. Different techniques have been tested for removing calcium hydroxide from root canal walls; none of which has been able to remove calcium hydroxide from the root canal walls completely for the present. Irrigation only technique, combination of instrumentation and irrigation, sonic activation and pasive ultrasonic irrigation, hydrodinamic irrigation (RinsENDO) and CanalBrush techniques can be given as examples, used for this purpose. Techniques put into use with the developing technology, seem to be more successful than conventional methods
