Bu araştırma, klinik uygulamalar sırasında hemşirelik öğrencilerinin karşılaştıkları meslektaş şiddetinin türü, sonuçları, mücadele yöntemleri ve önlemeye ilişkin çözüm önerilerini incelemek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma nitel tasarımda olgu bilimsel desende yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini bir devlet üniversitesinde öğrenim gören, klinik uygulamalara devam eden 67 son sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmuş, örnekleme ise 31 hemşirelik öğrencisi dâhil edilmiştir. Öğrencilere ait sosyo-demografik verilerin toplanmasında kişisel bilgi formundan yararlanılırken, nitel veriler için yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin kişisel verilerinin değerlendirilmesinde bilgisayar paket program aracılığıyla, tanımlayıcı istatistikler (yüzdelik, aritmetik ortalama) kullanılmış, nitel verilerin değerlendirilmesinde betimsel ve içerik analiz yöntemleri uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda hemşirelik öğrencilerinin klinikte sıklıkla sözel meslektaş şiddetine maruz kaldıkları, buna bağlı olarak bireysel ve mesleki sorgulama yaptıkları, mesleki heyecan ve isteklerinde azalma yaşadıkları, karşılaştıkları sorunlarda genel olarak sessiz kalmayı ve akademisyenlerle iletişime geçmeyi tercih ettikleri tespit edilmiştir. Öğrenciler aslında hemşirelerden hoşgörü ve empati beklemektedirler. Varolan bu şiddete çözüm olarak ise hemşirelere ilgili eğitimlerin verilmesi, klinikteki stres faktörlerinin azaltılması, gerekli görüldüğü taktirde profesyonel destek almaları ve şiddet davranışlarına ilişkin denetimlerin arttırılmasının etkili olacağını düşündükleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırmadaki öğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğunun meslektaş şiddetinin farklı türlerini deneyimledikleri ve bu durumun öğrenciler üzerinde bireysel ve mesleki alanlarda olumsuz sonuçlarının olduğu belirlenmiştir.
This research was carried out with the aim of examining the type, results, methods of fighting and solutions for prevention of co-violence that nursing students encounter during clinical applications. The research has been done in the scientific design. The universe of research was formed by 67 final class students who studied at a state university, continuing to clinical practices, and the sampling included 31 nursing students. While the personal information form was used in the collection of social-demographic data of students, the semi-configured interview form was used for quality data. In the evaluation of the personal data of the students through the computer package program, identifiable statistics (percentage, arithmetic average) have been used, the evaluation of the quality data has been applied visual and content analysis methods. The study found that nursing students were frequently exposed to oral co-violence in the clinic, therefore conducted individual and professional interrogations, experienced a decrease in their professional excitement and desires, preferred to remain silent in general on the problems they encounter and communicate with academics. Students actually expect tolerance and empathy from nurses. As a solution to this existing violence, they have been determined that training for nurses, reducing stress factors in the clinic, receiving professional support if necessary, and increasing the controls of violent behavior would be effective. The majority of students in the study experienced different types of fellow violence, and this situation was found to have negative consequences on students in individual and professional fields.
This research has been conducted to evaluate the type, the results, methods of struggle, and preventive solution proposals about co-worker violence experienced by nursing students during clinical practice. The research has been carried out in a qualitative design in a scientific pattern. The universe of the research consists of 67 senior students of a public university who continue clinical practices, also 31 nursing students have been included in the sample. While a personal information form has been used in collecting socio-demographic data of students, a semi-structured interview form has been used for qualitative data. In the evaluation of the personal data of the students, descriptive statistics (percentile, arithmetic mean) through the computer package program have been used, and in the evaluation of the qualitative data descriptive and content analysis methods have been indicated. As the result of the research, it has been detected that nursing students; frequently experience verbal colleague violence in the clinic, accordingly make individual and professional inquiries, experience a decrease in their professional excitement and desires, and generally prefer to remain silent in the problems they face and contact academicians. In fact, the students actually expect tolerance and empathy from nurses, As a solution to the violence, they have been determined to think that; providing related training to nurses, reducing the stress factors in the clinic, getting professional support if necessary and increasing the controls on violent behavior would be effective. It has been determined that the vast majority of students in the research had experienced different types of colleague violence and this situation had negative consequences for students in individual and professional fields.
