Üstesinden gelinemeyeceği düşünülen durumların vuku bulması ile gerçekleşen intihar vakası, çok boyutlu, karmaşık ve geniş ölçekli bir yapıya sahip olup ruhsal açıdan risk teşkil eden süreçleri en başta temsil eden ve yaşamaya dair istek ve bilincin sonlandığı anlarda ortaya çıkan, sosyolojik ve psikolojik yönleri ağır basan, başta sağlık, sosyoloji ve psikoloji bilim alanları olmak üzere intihar üzerine uğraş veren birçok bilim dalı tarafından ciddi bir davranış bozukluğu şeklinde tanımlanmaktadır. Önlenebilmesi için gerek uluslararası gerekse de ulusal arenada birçok çalışmanın yapıldığı / yapılmakta olduğu söz konusu olgunun ülkemizde en fazla araştırma sahasını oluşturan Ege Bölgesi yer alan illerde görülmesi ve intiharlar coğrafyası konusunda da coğrafi araştırmalarının sınırlı olması bu çalışmanın hazırlanmasını sağlamıştır. Araştırmanın amacı, Ege Bölgesi’nde intihar vakalarının coğrafi perspektifle ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu’ndan temin edilen ve 2019 yılını kapsayan intihar veri setleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma betimsel araştırma yönteminin kullanılması ile nihai boyuta ulaşmıştır.
The case of suicide that occurs with the finding of the vuku of the circumstances that are thought to be unbearable is defined as a serious behavioral disorder by many disciplines that deal with suicide, primarily in the fields of health, sociology and psychology, which first represent the processes that constitute mental risk and arise in the moments when the desire to live and consciousness ends. In order to prevent it, both internationally and nationally, the fact that many studies are being carried out / being carried out in our country is the most research field in the Egean region and the geographical research in the geography of suicides is also limited to the preparation of this study. The purpose of the research is to identify suicide cases in the Egean region from a geographical perspective. For this purpose, suicide data sets provided by the Turkish Statistical Bureau and covering the year 2019 were used. The research has reached the final dimension with the use of the imagistic research method.
