Bu çalışmada Türkiye’deki sağ ve sol seçmenlerin mekânsal/coğrafi konumlarına ve ideolojilerine göre seçimlerde tercihlerinin değişip değişmeme durumları ele alınmış ve 2023 seçimleri sonrasında inanç bazında başörtüsünün tekrar sorun olup olmayacağının değerlendirmeleri yapılmıştır. Ülkemizde büyükşehirlerde ve kırsal yerleşim yerlerinde yaşayan sağ ve sol partilere oy veren seçmenlerin seçimlerdeki tercihleri birbirlerinden farklılık göstermektedir. Bu farklılığı etkileyen faktörlerin başında ideolojik bakış açısının yanında sosyolojik olarak yaşanılan yerin mekânsal ve kültürel yapısının da etkili olduğu dile getirilebilir. Çalışmada oy verme davranışını etkileyen sosyolojik ve ideolojik yaklaşımların teorik içeriği Türkiye nezdinde ele alınmış, sağ ve sol adresli partilerin hâkim olduğu iki farklı büyükşehir ile iki farklı ilçede belli sayıdaki seçmenlere mülakatlar yapılmıştır. Uygulama sonucunda kırsal kesimde yaşayan seçmenlerin büyükşehirlerdeki seçmenlere göre seçimlerde yakın durdukları partiyi değiştirme eğilimi daha esnek-geçişken olduğu görülmüştür. Bu geçişgenlik sağ/muhafazakâr seçmenler nezdinde daha belirginken sol/seküler seçmenler nezdinde geçişgenliğin daha katı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Buna karşılık büyükşehirdeki seçmenlerin ise parti anlamında farklı seçimlerde tercihlerinde çok bir değişikliğin olmadığı parti aidiyetinin kırsal kesimlerdeki seçmenlere göre daha belirgin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kırsal kesimde yaşayan seçmenlerin çoğunluğunun ise inanç ve başörtüsü meselesinin artık gündeme gelmeyeceğini düşünürken kent merkezlerinde yaşayan seçmenlerin daha katı bir tutum sergiledikleri görülmüştür.
In this study, the situations of whether the preferences of the right and left voters in Turkey have changed in the elections according to their spatial/geographical location and ideology have been discussed. after the 2023 elections, evaluations have been made on whether the hijab will be a problem again on the basis of faith. The preferences of voters who vote for parties living in metropolitan and rural settlements differ from each other in the elections. It can be stated that the cultural structure of the place where one lives is effective sociologically as well as the ideological point of view at the beginning of the factors affecting this difference. In this study, the theoretical content of sociological and ideological approaches affecting voting behavior were discussed, interviews were conducted with a certain number of voters in two different metropolitan areas dominated by right-wing and left-wing parties and in two different districts. As a result of the application, it was found that voters living in rural areas have a more flexible tendency to change the party they stand close to in the elections compared to voters in metropolitan areas. This flexibility is more pronounced for right/conservative voters, while the transitivity is stricter for left/secular voters. On the other hand, the majority of voters living in rural areas stated that the issue of faith and hijab would no longer be raised, while voters living in urban centers showed a stricter attitude.
